Catholic Home Fellowships
Cultivating Biblical Hospitality in Your Home and Life.
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity" Psalm 133:1
Are you a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church? Why not host a Saturday afternoon casual luncheon/fellowship in your home to fellow parishioners? Our goal in this ministry is not only to become more aquainted with our fellow Sunday worshippers, but to honor God by obeying His command to “contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality” (Romans 12:13). At St. Jude Catholic Church, we try to discover new ways to love one another within the body of Christ and extend God’s love to both strangers and friends (Hebrews 13:2). True biblical hospitality is God-centered and others-centered; it reflects the love of Christ by opening our hearts and homes to serve and bless others, all for the glory of God.” What a great way to get to know your fellow Catholic brethren in a Protestent-rich region.
1 Peter 4:8-10 tells us: Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
This is the purpose and mission of this ministry. When each parishioner brings a food item and a fun activity to a luncheon, a few hours of comradery can fly by! Maybe the guys can toss a football or talk fishing, hunting, or sports while the ladies help keep them out of trouble.
Hospitaility gatherings take place every other week from April to Septermber, which means that you will open your home to a luncheoun only once a year. Want to know more? Good!

“I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you should also love one another.” + Jesus (John 13:34)
"Welcoming Christ in our needy brothers and sisters is the condition of being able to meet him face to face and perfectly at the end of our earthly journey."
"Hospitality is an essential and distinctive dimension of Christian charity."
"Hospitality challenges us to put our faith into action."
